Owner and innkeeper, Kathryn Tawes welcomes you and yours as guests at Colonial Capital Bed & Breakfast.

Kathryn is a native of nearby Hampton, Virginia. She is the daughter of H. Cullen Tawes and Betty O. Tawes. Her parents were avid history buffs and collectors of antiques. This contributed to countless hours of family trips exploring the ample history of Virginia. Williamsburg was frequently a destination of those history adventures. Interesting, life left here to return to the once frequented small town of Williamsburg, where Kathryn raised her three daughters, Kaitlin, Ari-Ahna and Ryn.

A self-employed Interior Designer, Kathryn made over many spaces, both residential and commercial.
